JTI Türkiye has been operating in Türkiye for over 30 years and takes pride in achieving "firsts" and "bests" in the sector. Some of the world's best-known brands are produced at our factory in Torbalı, Izmir, using Turkish tobacco.

JTI was the first private company to export tobacco from Türkiye, and today around 30 % of the products made in our Torbalı factory is destined for overseas - making our factory one of JTI’s leading production sites.

Tobacco has been part of Turkish culture for hundreds of years. Oriental tobacco is famous for its aromatic and unique taste, and our climate is perfect for growing some of the world's finest leaves. In fact, the first cigarettes were made using Turkish tobacco. The way we make cigarettes has evolved over the years, but we still use that quality oriental tobacco in our products.
